Welcome to the dog days of summer. The past week has seen high temperatures and humidity in the area with no relief in site. Although it’s not Tunisia hot right now, it’s still pretty damn uncomfortable with temperatures reaching into the low 90’s.

Mom wasn’t scheduled to leave for Tunis for at least another week, but it seems my African-American niece isn’t inclined to wait for her to arrive. Mom was able to get her ticket bumped up a week to Tuesday, so we pieced together a last minute dinner to celebrate her birthday.

With everything that was going on throughout the three weeks, the only one to stay the entire time was the little man. Jean had to come home a few times throughout to get some work done or to attend class, so she did miss a couple of nights.
