Summer Keystone Games

This weekend, I played in the Men’s Summer Keystone Games, which is touted as the largest amateur festival in Pennsylvania.  I played in the over 30 Men’s Outdoor 7 versus 7 soccer competition, which took place over two days.

This is the same team I played with last summer, when we finished first.  This year there [...]

Mamma Mia!

Last Sunday (7/20), Jean went to see the movie “Momma Mia!” with her lunch group and she loved it.  She kept on humming the various tunes early last week and she couldn’t stop telling everyone how great the movie was.

For those that don’t know (meaning guys like me), Momma Mia is stage musical based around [...]

She’s Here…

Last night (July 21st) we welcomed the newest member to our family with the arrival of Anaïs (ahn-na-EES) “Isa” Belle Wisotzki.

Anaïs weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz and is rumored to have a touch of red hair just like her mother. Erin and Dorsey left the house a little after 7pm, and the [...]

Hot Summer Days

Welcome to the dog days of summer. The past week has seen high temperatures and humidity in the area with no relief in site. Although it’s not Tunisia hot right now, it’s still pretty damn uncomfortable with temperatures reaching into the low 90’s.
Here’s a quick recap of our weekend:

As a quick head’s up, I wanted to let you know that the McMenamin’s (each and every one of us) are finally back from our extended (3 weeks) vacation and I’m going to try and update all of our exploits as best as I can.
If I was really on top of things, I’d have done [...]

Au Revoir Grand-Mère Phil

Mom wasn’t scheduled to leave for Tunis for at least another week, but it seems my African-American niece isn’t inclined to wait for her to arrive. Mom was able to get her ticket bumped up a week to Tuesday, so we pieced together a last minute dinner to celebrate her birthday.

Katie, Casey, and Alex [...]

The Last Survivor

With everything that was going on throughout the three weeks, the only one to stay the entire time was the little man.  Jean had to come home a few times throughout to get some work done or to attend class, so she did miss a couple of nights.

Brett was there throughout and he really developed [...]

Hanging With Jacob Miley

Brett was lucky enough to have Jacob Miley come stay at the house over the 4th of July weekend.  The two of them seemed to have a good time hanging with each other and playing around the house and on the beach.

Here’s the best picture of the weekend.  Hard to believe, but my five year [...]

Summer Camp

The one bummer to our beach week was that Jake and Abby both had some last minute changes to their plans and had their camps moved to the third week of Mom’s rental. They both were signed up for overnight camp, and it was the first time away for both of them.
They were really [...]
